
Who else had forgotten the Vauxhall Insignia VXR estate existed?
A recent VXR Sports Tourer spot got us thinking. Did anyone actually buy one?
Did anyone here buy a Vauxhall Insignia VXR Sports Tourer? We’d almost forgotten it existed until spotting one on the M25 recently.
Decent specs for a fast estate though, weren’t they? Particularly the facelift SuperSport version that arrived in 2013 (pictured above). It still had the 321bhp 2.8-litre turbocharged V6 of its predecessor, but Vauxhall binned the speed limiter for a 170mph top end. It was all-wheel drive too and managed 0-62mph in 5.6 seconds – all for a starting price of £31,049 if you wanted the big-boot over the saloon.
