Wallpapers: Corvette Z06 Convertible vs Lamborghini Aventador Roadster

Decorate your desktop with a transatlantic battle of high-horsepower drop-tops

Published: 10 Jul 2015

A few months ago, we took two of the world’s best convertibles on one epic road trip around the winding roads of Southern California.

Both were the visual embodiment of their country’s exhibitionist side, just scalped and filled with lots of power.

Representing Team America and in the lemon yellow corner, the 650hp Corvette Z06 convertible. Born and developed on the racetracks of Europe – including Le Mans and the Nordschleife – under its aggressive wide-arched exterior is a wealth of technology aimed at destroying the lazy European stereotype that America can’t do proper-handling cars.

Fighting for the pride of Europe and in the lime green corner, the 690hp Lamborghini Aventador Roadster. A car that’s the ultimate expression of no-constraint Italian hypercar design: flamboyant, excessive and with looks that can, and will, stop traffic. It’s a proper supercar with a preposterously wonderful V12 engine sitting in the middle.
