The 2025 Easter Jeep Safari concepts include some brilliantly retro creations

Jeep is bringing SEVEN concept builds on its annual Moab pilgrimage. See them all here

He is risen! And is that a modified Jeep Wrangler that he’s driving?

Yep, it must be, because the annual Easter Jeep Safari kicks off again tomorrow with Jeep owners and fans making the pilgrimage to Moab, Utah to pay their respects to the gods of off-roading.

Every year, Jeep itself brings along a load of concept cars to show off its range of cars and aftermarket bits, and 2025 is no different. In fact, there are no fewer than seven concepts this year and Jeep has gone all-in on the retro.

Just have a look at the Wrangler known as ‘Rewind’. That’s the 80s/90s-inspired purple two-door that you can see in the gallery above. Designed by the millennials in Jeep’s art department throwing it back to their high school days, it features retro graphics and plenty of neon. The doors and roof have been removed too, and there are custom-painted 17in AEV wheels wrapped in 37in BFG tyres. Oh, and just look at that interior. The car phone is an excellent touch.

We’re loving the look of the ‘J6 Honcho’ concept too. Painted white with blue graphics, it’s inspired by the J10 Honcho of the late 1970s and started life as a Gladiator Rubicon. It has since been converted into a two-door truck with more space in the bed, a two-inch lift kit, bronze 17in wheels and 37in BF Goodrich tyres. The chunky flat arches are new too, as is the custom roll bar with its extra lighting.

You’ve then got the ‘Bug Out 4xe’, which was once a four-door Wrangler 4xe Rubicon hybrid but has since been stripped to be a lightweight(ish) overlander. That’s the matte silver car with yellow accents, lightweight 18in Forgeline wheels and a raised roof. The ‘Convoy’ concept is the military-spec creation (there’s always one) that looks a little like a 1960s Gladiator SJ thanks to its custom J-truck-style bonnet and seven-slot grille. Excellent brown canvas doors and roof, too.

The brown ‘High Top Honcho’ is another retrotastic creation with a 70s-look to the Gladiator exterior. It’s pretty serious underneath though, with Dana front and rear axles, adjustable air suspension, a modified front bumper, roll bar, concept arches, steel wheels, 40in tyres and a Warn winch.

Two Wranglers wrap things up for this year’s EJS builds. The ‘Sunchaser’ concept is lifted and features pretty much all of the extra storage solutions you could think of, while the ‘Blueprint’ is a clever idea that essentially acts as a rolling catalogue so that enthusiasts can easily spot the blue bits that they’d like to buy for their own project. Apparently, there are over 35 different accessories on that particular car. Wonder how many snorkels it’ll help Jeep sell at the Safari?
