Hurrah, Aston Martin’s DBS Volante configurator is live!

Many of us will never get to own an Aston Martin. But that shouldn’t stop us from dreaming, from imagining exactly what our Aston Martin would look like, were we to win tonight’s lottery. Handily, Aston - and most other manufacturers - provide tools that allow us to do just that.

So, say hello to this week’s time waster - the configurator for the new Aston Martin DBS Volante. And it’s a good one - lets you pick between loads of colours, wheel and trim options. Inside, too, the number of leather combinations must stretch into the thousands, if not more. The few pictured up top are not reflective of our taste (bit bright), but a few brightly-coloured examples to get your creative juices flowing. Ours is dark green with tan leather.

The DBS Volante is the fastest convertible Aston’s ever built. It’ll do 211mph - roof up or roof down - and 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds thanks to the same 5.2-litre turbocharged V12 as the coupe. That means 715bhp and 664lb ft of torque.
