Buying

What should I be paying?

We’re not going to be talking lease deals and running costs here. Many people who’ve bought one of these actually have it kept at Kimera’s HQ should the desire take them to drive it while they’re in Europe. These people are not like you or us.

Having said that, you’ll get change out of a million quid. Quite a lot of change if you bought one of the initial run of 37, as Kimera only charged €450,000 (£370,000) initially. When those all sold out very quickly, they realised two things: that they could build a few more, and that they could ask more for them.

So this Martini-liveried car, called San Remo, is one of a run of seven, each commemorating a rally the car won. It costs €840,000 (£693,000). We know that is a ridiculous amount of money, but a couple of comments here. We emphatically think it’s worth it. And it’ll probably depreciate less than a Vauxhall Corsa. Although the annual running costs will probably cost more than a Vauxhall Corsa.
