You can now buy an 850bhp Mustang in the UK

Clive Sutton has launched the UK’s most powerful new Mustang

Still fuming that Ford won’t be bringing the bonkers Shelby GT500 to the UK? Well, calm that rage young one, because Clive Sutton is here to help…

Yep, apparently you weren’t the only one left disappointed at not getting a 750bhp GT500, because customer demand has led the St John’s Wood-based Mustang specialist to create this: the Sutton CS850GT.

Essentially, it’s the most powerful new Mustang you can buy in the UK, with the 5.0-litre V8 getting a custom-tuned Whipple Supercharger and a new intercooler for a frankly ridiculous 847bhp and 665lb ft of torque. They weren’t kidding when they said it was powerful.

The CS850GT (bit of a mouthful that) also gets a new quad-exit exhaust, a six-speed manual gearbox with a short-shift kit fitted and upgraded suspension for UK roads. Lovely.

Elsewhere there’s custom Vossen 20-inch wheels, uprated brakes and new subframe components to cope with the power, which stands at almost double that of a standard V8 Mustang.

Exterior changes include a GT500-style front end, a carbon fibre body kit and an optional (and rather massive) carbon rear wing, whilst the interior gets a new red starter button, a carbon fibre dash and a square-bottomed Sutton steering wheel.

The cost for all of that power? Well, prices for the CS850GT will start from £115,000. Thoughts, Internet?
