The SoFlo Speedster is a 567bhp Jeep Wrangler turned into a bonkers two-seat toy truck

Florida-based shop chops up a Wrangler, gives it major anger management issues

You’re aware of the Jeep Wrangler, right? Now imagine what that car would look like if it had the temper of a hormonal teenager and styling inspired by the frightening furnace from Home Alone.

Enter the SoFlo Speedster – a custom-built pickup version of the Wrangler with a chopped body, sports suspension, massive 40in tyres, 22in alloy wheels and a whacking great 6.4-litre HEMI V8 that’s had an ECU flash to make 567bhp. Quite something.

Built by SoFlo Customs in the US, the two-seat Speedster gets a ridiculously aggressive ‘HellFire Grumper 2.0’ grille that you may recognise from SoFlo’s sister company Apocalypse Manufacturing. There’s also a custom steel rollcage, Dana 44” axles with electronic locking differentials and arch extensions that could have doubled as Henry VIII’s dining table.

Oh, and you can remove the doors and the roof panels for the proper speedster experience, with the interior retrimmed to protect it from the elements.

"The Speedster’s drive bests a Corvette, without the driver ever worrying about curbing the rims or even caring if it starts raining when the top is off,” says SoFlo Customs founder Joseph Ghattas. Sounds confident, although you’d have to be to come up with something like this.

“This is a vehicle that challenges the automotive industry to rethink pickup trucks and SUVs, viewing them not just as rugged machines, but as high-performance sports cars that fair great on- and off-road.”

Prices for the Speedster start at $99,999, with ‘fully loaded’ examples costing $129,000. No word on whether that includes the donor Wrangler or not, but it’s not like there’s loads of it left once SoFlo has done its thing.
