Land Rover Classic has a new upgrade to add Apple CarPlay to your L322 Range Rover
Still running that L322? This upgrade keeps your standard stereo but adds modern phone pairing
There’s a lot of love for the third-generation L322 Range Rover right now, and Land Rover Classic is hoping to cash in on that with an infotainment upgrade that adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
The upgrade can only be applied to cars built at the end of the L322’s production run between 2010 and 2012, because the new system uses the original touchscreen.
It’s also compatible with any of the stereo specs from that era, and Land Rover said “Classic engineers have also worked hard to ensure clients can seamlessly transfer between the legacy user interface and the new Apple and Android functions".
There’s no word on how much the update might cost just yet, but we are told that all parts are covered by a two-year JLR aftermarket parts and accessories warranty. Presumably it won’t be too expensive either, given that high-mileage L322s are now available for around 70p on the used car market.
