Renault Twingo news - Twingoin’ racing - 2008
It's not long until we drive the Twingo RenaultSport. Days, in fact. We're excited.
And, just to whet our appetites a little more, Renault has sent over a bunch of shiny pictures of its hot little city car in a variety of driving-quite-fast poses.
Looks good, eh?
Check out those Playstation-inspired pedals - just like the concept we saw back in Paris a couple of years ago.
We're also told that the Twingo RenaultSport will cost 15,600 Euros when it goes on sale in France in a couple of weeks time.
That should give you a pretty good handle on UK prices: around £12,000, we reckon, with plenty of kit including bucket seats, nice leather bits and cracking 17-inch anthracite wheels if you opt for the Cup chassis. Which you will.
Even better, French TwingoSport (to coin a slightly shorter name) owners will, for the nominal cost of one Euro, get the full RenaultSport driving tuition programme to teach them how to extract the most from their 133bhp mini-rocket.
We've talked to Renault UK and they've said that they plan to introduce a similar scheme over here.
A quid to thrash your TwingoSport round a racetrack under the supervision of someone who wants to help you go faster?
